Our Friends at the Cat House for Adoption

http://www.bobbiandthestrays.org/

Hello Kit-tahs and their people!
I wanted to tell you about something that happened this week to a group of cats we know well!

My mommy and daddy volunteer at Bobbi & the Strays Cat House in Long Island City New York. What is the Cat House? Well, it is a house filled with cats. (and two small chihuahuas I was told). The cats have come from all walks of life, some belonged to people, some did not. Some had lived out on the streets, some, their families had left them, some had no families.

But these kitties live in this house, all together. There are some that are very friendly to people, and would love a home. They have a home, but it's not the same as when one has people of ones own, believe me.

I know there is a cat there, a lovely Black and White cat who would love a kind and responsible home. His name is Louie, and he really likes when people visit him, but would probably love it even more if someone would take him home with them, so he could have them to himself. Louie likes other cats, too. And he gets along well with the two small dogs, which to me says alot about his temperment.
And then there is Shadow, an 8 year old cat who's person passed away. She lives there now, too. She longs for people to visit with her, and for a person to love her enough to take her home. She may have a harder time than most, too, because she tests positive for FELV. However, she is healthy. A cat can test positive for FELV without ever becoming symtomatic. Shadow loves laps, mommy and daddy talked about how she just wanted to sit on their laps.

There are so many more, too. They are lucky that they live there, because they have food to eat, and a warm place to sleep, and volunteers to care about them. But they really need more.

If you want to meet someone who will love you, be loyal, keep you company, and be the best friend you ever had, please consider adopting, and if you are seeking company of the feline persuasion and live in NY, please consider a 'Cat House' cat.
